Babies & young children are vulnerable to accidents because they have no awareness of danger and cannot control their environment, they are totally dependant on me when they are in my care to make their world safe. I need to be aware of their safety within my home, when traveling and when out and about. The safety of babies needs particular attention.
A a registered childminder, my house has passed strict safety standards and we will adhere to these standards ensuring a safe and secure environment for your child, both inside and outside.
On outings I will use the appropriate safety harnesses on buggies and safety restraints for older walkers as requested by parents.
I always complete and follow health & safety checklists at all times.
I have a first aid kit, a current first aid certificate, smoke alarms fitted on all floors, and a fire blanket in the kitchen.
